Plan your SDSU schedule
Questions before you search.
Is this official?
No. It's an independent, student-built project. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by San Diego State University or the CSU system. It also doesn't use SDSU's name or marks as its own branding.
Where does the class data come from and how often is it updated?
CourseGrid pulls class data from SDSU's public class search on a regular refresh schedule. You'll see exactly how old a given seat count is right on the page. A popular section can still fill up between refreshes, so always confirm the seat count on the official portal right before you register.
Do I need an account?
No. Class search and the free planner both work without signing in. An account only matters if you want to save a plan across visits or buy an AI planning pass.
What does the AI planning pass include?
It's a one-time pass for a single term, not a subscription. $19.00 per term It covers 15 AI-ranked plans for that term, so you can re-plan when your schedule changes. The class search and degree planner stay free either way.
Will the price change?
$19.00 per term $9.00 was the introductory price through Sep 12, 2026. A pass you already bought keeps its price and its 15 plans.
Can I get a refund?
Non-refundable after your first AI plan. Unused passes are refundable within 7 days.
